Marriage

Holy Matrimony is the covenant a man and woman make to one another and to God to work as partners for the rest of their lives.  The woman and man marry one another before a witness of the Church (a priest or a deacon), two witnesses of their own choosing (a “best man” and a “maid/matron of honor”), and representatives of the Catholic Christian faith community.

Are you prepared, as you follow the path of Marriage, to love and honor each other for as long as you both shall live?

Marriage preparations must be made at least a year in advance of the wedding date.
If you or a relative or friend is interested in receiving the Sacrament of Matrimony, please contact our Parish Office to meet with a priest, book a wedding date, and for additional documentation and paperwork that will need to be completed.

Pre-Cana is a one-day (or two half-days) course for couples preparing for marriage in the Catholic Church.  The name is derived from the Wedding Feast at Cana.  Topics include:

    • Compatibility of the couple
    • Basic principles of Catholic marriage and family life
    • Sacramental theology of marriage
    • Conflict resolution within marriage

The FOCCUS Inventory (Facilitating Open Couple Communication, Understanding and Study) is a self-diagnostic inventory, designed to help couples learn more about themselves and their unique relationship.
