New Here?
Coming from Another Parish?
We’re so glad you’re here. To officially join our parish family, please complete a parish registration form. We also encourage you to contact your previous parish to let them know you are transferring to Saint Veronica. It’s a big help and greatly appreciated.
To register as a parishioner, please contact the Parish Office located in the Parish Center, at 732-363-4200 for a registration form and to set up an appointment to meet with one of our clergy. We will be glad to assist you and welcome you to the parish. The hours of operation for the Parish Office can be found on the “Contact Us” page (via the “About Us” scroll-down menu, at the top of each webpage).
Interested in the Catholic Faith?
We warmly welcome you as you seek to grow in your faith and explore becoming a Catholic Christian. Please visit our OCIA Order of Christian Initiation page for more information.
New to Mass?
The Mass is the central act of worship in the Catholic Church, rooted in ancient Christian tradition. The word Mass comes from the Latin missio, meaning “mission.” We gather to be nourished by God’s Word and the Eucharist so we can go forth and live as Christ’s disciples in the world.
Mass includes:
- Sacred music (hymns and chants)
- Scripture readings
- Prayers
- A homily (sermon)
- Holy Communion (received by practicing Catholics)
At Mass, you will notice moments of standing (as a sign of reverence), sitting (to listen and reflect), and kneeling (in worship and humility). Don’t worry if you’re unsure when to do what, please follow along with the missal which can be found in the pew.
Because we are Catholic (meaning “universal”), the same Scripture readings and prayers are used in every Catholic parish around the world each day. This unity is one of the great beauties of our faith.
